The performance of TeamGB and remarkable 29 gold medals finishing third in the overall table, making it the most successful Olympics for 108 years, cemented guaranteed joy and optimism that is now sweeping the nation.
Britain has so much to be proud of right now and you can visibly see it in peoples’ faces and attitude. Let's hope the focus on more positive role-models on tv and in magazines that have actually achieved something continues.
