UK cabinet minister Alun Cairns has quit after claims he knew about a former aide's role in the "sabotage" of a rape trial.
Alun Cairns is still prospective Conservative candidate for Vale of Glamorgan though.
The Conservative majority over Labour in 2017 was just 4% and is already regarded as highly marginal.
