Tory Party Chair' Sayeeda Warsi, has tonight accused the British press of, "anti-Islamic sentiment". Sayeeda said on The Guardian website: "If you have a pop at the British Muslim community in the media, then first of all it will sell a few papers; second, it doesn't really matter; and third, it's fair game."
She also denies she faced discrimination from within the Tory party in the article saying: "I think as an Asian, Muslim woman there were blocs, not within the Conservative party, but within the wider Conservative thinking, that had question marks about who I was and what I represented."
tBg thinks it's a good think that there is a front bencher who will speak out against blatant anti-Islamic sentiment in some of the British press.
In the Guardian's article, Sayeeda also defends Andy Coulson and blames electoral fraud for the Tories not gaining a majority in the General Election.
