CF Chairman Ben Howlett is to ensure that what happened in this election never happens again. Howlett is to make regional Chair's responsible for gathering and retaining membership data.
Ben said on the The Tory Boy blog: "That is indeed the plan, decentralise it through the regionals with data act clause. 1st meeting of exec. It will all be decentralised through the Regional Chairman and the National CF giving support."
Many members up and down the country were without ballots this year. CF has a membership of over 15,000 and an election turnout of 173 votes. This plan should make it easier for CCHQ to keep up-to-date and call for a branch or regions' members list with ease, if need be.
